South Africa board announces busy England tour schedule
DURBAN (Reuters) - England have been scheduled to play five tests within 40 days on their tour of South Africa this year. According to the tour itinerary released by the United Cricket Board (UCB) on Wednesday, the first of five tests has been slated for Port Elizabeth from December 17 to 21. The fifth test will be played in Centurion from January 21 to 25. The seven one-day internationals will be completed within 15 days. In addition, England will play a tour opener against the Nicky Oppenheimer XI, and a three-day match and two limited- overs games against South Africa A. Itineraries: England in South Africa (December 2004 to February 2005): December: 5: Arrive, Johannesburg 8: One-day v Nicky Oppenheimer XI, Randjesfontein 11-13: Tour match v South Africa A, Potchefstroom 17 - 21: First test, Port Elizabeth 26-30: Second test, Durban January: 2-6: Third test, Cape Town 9: One-day v South Africa A, Kimberley 13-17: Fourth test, Johannesburg 21-25: Fifth test, Centurion 28: One-day v South Africa A, Benoni 30: First ODI, Johannesburg February: 2: Second ODI, Bloemfontein 4: Third ODI, Port Elizabeth 6: Fourth ODI, Cape Town 9: Fifth ODI, East London 11: Sixth ODI, Durban 13: Seventh ODI, Centurion
