Pak cricketers made to sweat for their shirts!

Karachi, Aug.19 (ANI): Pakistan's cricket players were put in a spot of bother shortly before their departure for Holland, when a PCB official erred in handing over their playing and training kits.

An informed source was quoted by The News as saying that the players, who should have received their kits at least a week in advance, got it only hours before their departure for Holland on Tuesday.

Haroon Rasheed, the team's manager, eventually handed over the kits to the players.

According to a source, the crisis was created because a senior Board official while placing orders for the playing and training kits, didn't bother to confirm from the sponsors Pepsi where they would like their logos to be printed on the clothing.

"The company responsible for preparing the kits printed the Pepsi logo on the side pockets as they did for the Asia Cup. But once the kits were ready the sponsors objected and said they would only accept their logo in full 32-inch size on the front of the playing shirts and training kits," he informed.

The Board had to then have all the playing and training kits prepared again with the Pepsi logo printed again on the front of the shirts.

Coach Bob Woolmer was also said to be very unhappy with the situation and conveyed his displeasure to the manager. (ANI)
