Islamabad, Feb 17 (IANS) The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has rescheduled the matches in the second leg of the India-Pakistan six-match series that began in Chandigarh Friday.
The change for the second leg of the series has been made because of the unrest caused by the publication of cartoons in a Danish newspaper that have hurt the religious sentiments of the Islamic community.
'The dates of the matches will remain the same while venues of the first and last match have been changed,' Daily Times quoted a PHF spokesman as saying Friday.
According to the revised schedule, the first match of the Pakistan leg will be held in Lahore Feb 22 instead of Rawalpindi while the last match will be held in Rawalpindi Feb 26 instead of Lahore.
'There will be no change in the second match which will be held at Faisalabad Feb 24,' the spokesman said.
The six-match series that will be played in two legs begins in India before moving to Pakistan. The first match of the India leg was played in Chandigarh Friday, while the second encounter will also be played at the same venue Saturday.
The last match of the India leg will be held in Jalandhar Monday.
