Bridgetown, Apr. 22(ANI): Captain Brian Lara's farewell to international cricket ended with West Indies suffering a heartbreaking one-wicket defeat by England in the final World Cup Super Eights match on Saturday. Lara made 18 in West Indies 300 all out before his bowlers and fielders raised hopes of a win. However, Kevin Pietersen's hundred and Paul Nixon's gritty 38 spoiled the genius farewell at Kensington Oval as England reached 9-301 with one ball remaining.
