MUMBAI (Reuters) - India won the first one-day international in a three-match cricket series against Bangladesh in Dhaka on Thursday.

India scored 251 for a loss of five wickets at the end of 47 overs helped by a 107-run partnership between Mahendra Singh Dhoni (91 not out) and Dinesh Karthik (58 not out).

Bangladesh bowler Saqibul Hasan gave away 43 runs for two wickets in a nine-over spell.
