Dhaka, May 10 (IANS) India defeated Bangladesh by five wickets in the first one-day international match at the Shere Bangla Stadium here Thursday.

Chasing a target of 250, India made 251 in 46 overs in a rain-affected match. Mahendra Singh Dhoni was the top scorer with 93 not out while Dinesh Karthik made an unbeaten 58.
