England win toss, New Zealand bat first

England won the toss and put New Zealand in to bat in the deciding third one-day cricket international at Eden Park in Auckland on Friday.

A win for New Zealand, already 2-0 up, will put them in an unbeatable position in the five-match series.

They have made one change to the side which cruised home by 10-wickets in the second match at Hamilton on Tuesday with all-rounder Paul Hitchcock coming in for Michael Mason.

England, desperate to stay in the series, have made two changes to their line up with all-rounder Dimitri Mascarenhas replacing Ravi Bopara and Luke Wright coming in for Graeme Swann.

The match starts at 2:00pm (0100 GMT) under overcast skies and a threat of rain.

Teams: New Zealand: Daniel Vettori (captain), Brendon McCullum, Jesse Ryder, Peter Fulton, Jamie How, Ross Taylor, Scott Styris, Jacob Oram, Kyle Mills, Chris Martin, Paul Hitchcok.

England: Paul Collingwood (captain), Phil Mustard, Alastair Cook, Luke Wright, Ian Bell, Kevin Pietersen, Owais Shah, Dimitri Mascarenhas, Stuart Broad, Ryan Sidebottom, James Anderson.

Umpires: Asad Rauf (PAK), Billy Bowden (NZL) Match referee: Alan Hurst (AUS).
