TOKYO (Reuters) - Former Japan coach Ivica Osim left hospital on Tuesday, four months after a life-threatening stroke. The 66-year-old Bosnian collapsed at his home last November after watching soccer late at night and spent almost two weeks in a coma. "I wish to thank everyone involved in my treatment after being 'liberated' from hospital," Osim told reporters. "I pray for Japan's future success on the soccer pitch. "I take great interest in Japan's development and will continue to give them my support." While Osim was battling for his life, Takeshi Okada was appointed as the Bosnian's replacement and took charge of the national side for a second spell in December. Osim may be offered an advisory role within the Japan Football Association (JFA) by chairman Saburo Kawabuchi after continued rehabilitation.
