Chennai, March 25: The India-England series later this year will feature only two Tests, it was announced after a BCCI meeting here on Tuesday. The tour will have seven ODIs. The original schedule had three Tests, but one had to be done away with to accommodate two ODIs.
England are scheduled to arrive in early November. BCCI treasurer N. Srinivasan said the dates and venues for the series would be announced later. "India tour Bangladesh in June for a one-day tri-series also featuring Pakistan," he added.
India are also slated to visit Pakistan in June for the Asia Cup, before a three-Test and five-match ODI series away in Sri Lanka the next month. India will also take part in the International Cricket Council’s Champions Trophy in Pakistan from September 11 to 28.
