South Africa opt for lone spinner

Chennai, March 25 (IANS) The touring South African team has decided to go into Wednesday's first Test against India with just one specialist spinner in left-armer Paul Harris.

Speaking at a press conference here Tuesday, skipper Graeme Smith said: 'Yes, we will go with one spinner.'

Harris will be part of a five-man attack that includes Makhaya Ntini, Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel and all-rounder Jacques Kallis.

The likely XI is: Smith (captain), Neil McKenzie, Hashim Amla, Jacques Kallis, Ashwell Prince, AB de Villiers, Mark Boucher, Nitini, Steyn, Paul Harris and Morkel.
