Free coaching for Delhi's Olympic qualifiers

By Indo Asian News Service

New Delhi, March 25 (IANS) Yogeshwar Dutt, Sushil Kumar and Neha Aggarwal, who qualified for Beijing Olympic Games 2008, will receive all help from the state government, including free coaching, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said Tuesday.

'The three sportspersons are set to bring laurels to the city and the nation. Our government will support them by providing special coaching and diet to them,' Dikshit added.

The three players Tuesday called on Dikshit at the Old Secretariat here and discussed issues confronting upcoming sportspersons in the city, a government official said.

Assuring all help to them, Dikshit expressed her confidence that they would play to uphold the nation's pride and would return with medals.

Dutt and Kumar won gold and bronze medals respectively in the recently held senior Asian wrestling championship, while Aggarwal won the gold in a badminton championship at Hong Kong.
