Chennai, March 25 (IANS) Kapil Dev, captain of the 1983 World Cup winning Indian team, and former skipper Ajit Wadekar have not been invited to the felicitation function organised by the Indian cricket board to honour Anil Kumble on his achieving a landmark of 600 Test wickets. Confirming this, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Niranjan Shah did not disclose the reasons for not inviting Kapil and Wadekar, both of whom have been critical of cricket board's stand on the rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL).
Shah said the BCCI had invited all other former India captains for the function, besides 'other dignitaries'.
