Chennai, March 26 (IANS) Captain Graeme Smith and Neil McKenzie scored half-centuries as South Africa scored 109 without loss at lunch on the opening day of the first cricket Test against India here Wednesday. At the break, Smith was batting on 53 (71 balls, 8x4s) and McKenzie was on 54 (79 balls, 11x4s). Smith won the toss and opted top bat at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium earlier.
