Chennai, March 29: Reflecting on a hard day’s work South African paceman Dale Steyn, said his team fought back well and was satisfied with his own performance. "Yesterday, Sehwag took the game away from us. But we bounced back well sticking to a good line and length that also helped restrict the scoring rate,"said Steyn who picked four wickets that he was able to get some reverse swing going.
About the match, Steyn said it appeared to be heading for a draw. "I hope the pitch for the next two Tests would be sporting ones."
Asked to pick his best wicket on the day Steyn picked Dhoni’s wicket as the prized one.
"His was a big wicket. The way he plays, he can take the game away from anybody in quick time. It was a key wicket."
Steyn has been the dominant force behind South Africa’s recent home series wins against New Zealand and West Indies, picking up 40 wickets in five Tests.
He followed it up with 14 wicktes in two Tests on the tour of Bangladesh, picking up his third consecutive Man-of the-Series award.
