Thursday April 3, 08:00 PM

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (Reuters) - West Indies captain Chris Gayle won the toss and invited Sri Lanka to bat in the second and final test at the Queen's Park Oval on Thursday.

Left-handed batsman Sewnarine Chattergoon was handed a test debut on his 27th birthday, coming in for spinner Sulieman Benn.

However, there was no place for local favourite, off-spinner Amit Jaggernauth as West Indies seek to recover from their defeat in the opening test.

Sri Lanka made two changes from the first test with wicketkeeper Prasanna Jayawardene ruled out with a hamstring injury and spinner Rangana Herath rested.

Vice-captain Kumar Sangakkara will keep wicket with slow left-armer Chamara Silva preferred to Herath and paceman Ishara Amerasinghe brought into the side.
