ROME (Reuters) - Former world number one Amelie Mauresmo said on Saturday she feared a rib injury might force her to pull out of the Italian Open starting on Monday. "I had a scan this (Saturday) afternoon which showed an intercostal tear," Mauresmo, who pulled out of this week's German Open because of the injury," told Reuters. "I will make a decision within the next 48 hours," added Mauresmo, who is not due to play before Tuesday. "The doctors in Rome asked me to have another scan on Monday. If the tear's still there, I'll pull out. The problem is there's a real risk the injury might get worse."
