Karachi, May 11 (ANI): Former Pakistan cricket captain Majid Khan has emerged as a frontrunner for the post of chairman of the International Cricket Council's cricket committee in wake of Sunil Gavaskar's resignation from the post last week. The News quoted a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official as saying that Majid Khan has the backing of most Test-playing nations and is likely to get nominated. The PCB has nominated Majid, who played 63 Tests and 23 One-Day Internationals, to lead the ICC cricket committee. Gavaskar resigned from the post after being asked by the ICC to choose between the job and his media commitments which it described as a conflict of interest. (ANI)
