The next Jaipur IPL game at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium on Saturday May 17, will go ahead as scheduled, said Rajasthan Royals media manager Narendra Joshi, after concerns were raised in the aftermath of the blasts which rocked the city on Tuesday evening. "As of now, there is no change of schedule. There are four more days to go, and we expect normalcy by then," Joshi said.
The game between Bangalore Royal Challengers and Rajasthan Royals is to be a 4 pm-start. "We'll go in with greater security arrangements. But the game will go ahead as planned," Subhash Joshi, secretary Rajasthan Cricket Association, said. However, Bangalore have offered to host the return-tie at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. The Cricinfo website quoted Bangalore CCO Martin Crowe as saying, "We have conveyed our decision to the IPL council. The franchises are discussing the issue. A final decision will be made tomorrow. "
