Australian batsman Brad Hodge, who had left the Kolkata Knight Riders midway into the IPL campaign after getting a call-up for national duty for their Caribbean tour starting mid-May, has been released for IPL duty.
Hodge had been picked for Australia's tour to West Indies as cover for Michael Clarke, who had pulled out of the tour for personal reasons. Clarke today made himself available for the tour.
"Hodge is available for the IPL, though we don't know yet when he can come and join the team," Knight Riders team director Joy Bhattacharya said.
