Warne mocked at Ganguly in IPL match: Report

After the spat with Sourav Ganguly for refusing to walk on a fielder's catch, Shane Warne 'mocked' at the Kolkata Knight Riders captain in their Indian Premier League match in Kolkata. According to a report, Rajasthan Royals captain Warne mocked at Ganguly during Tuesday's match at the Eden Gardens after a piece of paper with some tactical notes flew out of the latter's pocket while he was batting. The retired Australian, who had criticised Ganguly for refusing to believe Graeme Smith's claim of a clean catch in an earlier match, unfolded the paper and appeared to be reading the same. "A clearly embarrassed Ganguly walked away before the grinning Warne finally relented and handed back the sheet to the grim-faced batsman who turned his back on Warne's banter," the Australian Associated Press report said. The Rajasthan team, riding on the much-lauded leadership of Warne, defeated Shah Rukh Khan-owned Kolkata side by six wickets and became the first side to qualify for the semifinals. "We got a bit of momentum going and we showed a lot of character," Warne said after the match. "We had stops and starts and today the better side won. We were 20 runs short," a disappointed Ganguly had said.
