Australia register another comprehensive victory in their second Super 8 tie. Hayden and Gilchrist thrashed the Bangladeshi bowlers to complete an emphatic 10 wicket victory. Bangladesh had no answer to the Aussie onslaught. Gilchrist completed his half century but Hayden just fell short by three runs. Australia intimidated their weaker opposition into submission. Glenn McGrath was awarded the Man of the Match award for his superb show with the ball.
