Round 10 of the 2007 Formula 1 Championship will be held at the Nurburgring, as the German circuit, south-west of Cologne prepares to play host to a German Grand Prix this time around.

The circuit replaced Hockenheim for the event after the removal of the European Grand Prix from the calendar meant that only one German circuit would host a race this season.

It will be the 80th year of racing at the Nurburgring and the circuit has undergone several changes over the years. Revised for the 2004 race; drivers were offered an additional overtaking opportunity with the tight first corner having been converted to a three-turn complex making the track slower and longer by 600 m.

The circuit, with its interesting mix of corners, straights and chicanes always promises some fascinating racing.
