| Australia put in a fantastic bowling display to wind up the Windies for 219 and win by 103 runs. They have registered a emphatic victory over the hosts for whom only Lara and Ramdin were the saving grace with fighting half centuries. For Australia Hogg, McGrath and Tait were among the wickets. Their fielding was also top class as usual as they crushed West Indies by putting them under pressure from the start. Australia are more or less through to the semi-finals if they continue in the same vein while the Windies have to pull up their socks to get there.
